The present article aims to study the rhythms in Azeri-Turkish Manzumeh of Asli & Karam. Since it was an oral history, it was conveyed chest to chest by the words of Azeri Ashiqs from generation to generation. By studying the rhythm of poems in Manzumeh Asli & Karam, it is evident that the poems of this Manzumeh have a stress-syllabic rhythm which is explained based on Metrical Stress Theory of Hyes (1981). The rhythm of poems is not based on the equality of syllables; it is based on pauses which are repeated at regular intervals from syllables. These poems are classified in two forms: Ghoshma and Gerayli. Their most rhythmic syllabic chain is in the form of Ghoshma 4+4+3 in which pair colons are as symmetrical 2+2. The most rhythmic chain of stress units is included in Gerayeli 4+4 which has two symmetrical colons.
